i saw this recipe and i HAD to try it!
secret: don’t use the prepackaged cinnamon rolls, instead use crescent rolls!
i love the crescent’s flaky texture!
carefully roll out the dough
mix 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar
place & pat down mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar
pour some melted butter on top of mixture to allow it to stick to the dough better
place in baking dish and bake for 20-30 mins until brown
to make frosting:
in mixing bowl, mix until smooth – 2 tbsp cream cheese & 2 tbsp salted butter
(i used applesauce instead of butter)
add in 1/2 squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and mix
while mixing gradually add in 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth
My whole house smelled cinnamony delicious!
i was pretty surprised how yummy and easy this recipe was!
only took about 30 mins from start to end.
The hardest part was photographing everything while doing it!
