A few weeks ago I went to NYC for a quick trip because I was invited to be apart of the Vanity Fair Ambassador program. Vanity Fair is a popular women’s apparel company specializing in undergarments.
I, along with 6 other bloggers got the opportunity to learn more about the brand and the history of the company. It’s amazing to me that this company has been around for almost 100 years! Isn’t that crazy?! I am so excited to partner with them and over the next few months I’ll be sharing more about the company and their collection! For today’s post I thought it would be fun to give you a little glimpse of my trip and what I did.
I actually flew out a day early since I was flying in from the West Coast so I had a whole day to explore the City before meeting with the team for dinner. As most of you already know, I lived in NYC for 4 years for school so it was so wonderful to be back in my favorite city in the world!
Where I Stayed: Refinery Hotel
What I Saw: World Trade Center Station
A warm welcome from the Vanity Fair Team.
The ONLY “tourist attraction” I was interested in seeing was the new World Trade Center Station. I was living in NYC during 9/11 so it was important for me to visit. I literally sat on the stairs for about 20 minutes in complete silence just taking in the beauty that came from such a tragic event. If you’re in town, I definitely recommend visiting.
Our first official activity was dinner where I got to meet our Vanity Fair hosts. It was such a beautiful dinner filled with lots of encouraging and uplifting words. This truly was an inspiring group of women and the food was amazing!
The next morning we headed to the Vanity Fair showroom where I had the chance to learn more about the products and all of the details and technology behind their bra design. I even got a sneak peak of the new collection. This experience totally made me look at bras differently! Vanity Fair puts so much thought into each bra and i’m so amazed at all of the innovative designs.
Did you know that 8 out of 10 women wear the wrong sized bra?
I got fitted and surprisingly, I was already wearing the correct size! #ididsomethingright – Girls, these bras are so comfortable, I can’t wait to share more about them in my upcoming post!
Next, I was off to People Magazine for a gorgeous lunch and a mini session where I got to style my own flay lay with photographer, Rachel Brenneck. After photographing my flat lay I was off to the airport to return home.
Overall this short trip was fun and informative and I’m so lucky to have met such an awesome group of women. I can’t wait to talk more about Vanity Fair’s amazing products and their partnership with ‘Dress for Success’. I’ll just end with a quote from their website.
“Here’s to the women who dream, inspire, encourage and persevere. Here’s to the women who do.”
