The first item that caught my eye in the skincare department is the ‘La Rouche-Posay Micellar Water’ for sensitive skin. I have been using micellar water for the last 6 years and I absolutely consider it a beauty essential/staple. I use it to remove my make-up before washing my face at the end of the night. I love how gently and effective it is with removing all of my make-up. This is the first time I’ll be trying the La Rouche-Posay version and I can’t wait to see how it compares to other brands!!
The second item I got is the ‘Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water‘. I really enjoy spraying my face with a water mist after applying my make-up or on days where I feel my skin is tight and dry. I find water mists to be refreshing and often times they make my skin glow. This one from Vichy caught my eye because the packaging says that it is ‘rich in 15 minerals that will help create a stronger barrier for healthier looking skin!’ Sold!
My next item is a holy grail product for me. I’ve been using ‘Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion‘ for years. I love how nourishing it is for my skin and it doesn’t have a fragrance which is a huge plus. Aveeno is the only body lotion we use in my home. We love how gentle it is and how it softens our skin.
The ‘Babylips Moisturizing Lip Balm‘ is a great lip balm to keep in your handbag. I was really excited when Maybelline came out with this line a few years ago because the name ‘Babylips‘ gives off an image of soft lips which is exactly what this lip balm does. I appreciate the SPF20 as my lips are always getting burned.
I was in need of a new mascara so I picked up ‘The Falsies Push Up Angel‘ from Maybelline. I’m a fan of the regular ‘Falsies’ mascara so I’m excited to try this one. If you’ve tried it, please let me know your thoughts.
I scoured the beauty department for a pressed powder and came upon ‘Maybelline’s ‘Fit Me Matte + Poreless.’ I don’t always have time to do a full face of make-up in the morning so I needed a good powder that would help cover some flaws and balance out my complexion. I tested this out on my hands and it looks like the powder is light to medium coverage. I can’t wait to review this in my next monthly favorites.
Anyone a fan of NYX cosmetics? I LOVE their butter glosses! They’re very affordable and the color range is great! These glosses are seriously the bomb! I have purchased high-end designer lip glosses and no doubt, I always come back to these NYX Butter Gloss. You must try them. The color are true to the tube and they’re not sticky. They actually moisturize your lips like a really good chapstick. My personal favorite colors are ‘creme brûlée’ and ‘cupcake’.
I can’t leave the store without picking up some false eyelashes. Lashes aren’t for everyone but I personally love ‘Ardell Natural’ #110. I actually buy them in bulk. They look very natural on and they’re not heavy nor will they weigh down your real lashes.
So I’m not sure if you’ve noticed in my last post but CVS now has last-minute beauty products in the checkout aisles. How convenient!! They have travel-friendly and on-trend beauty products from some of the best-selling brands. I picked up Trial Size Facial Mask because I love a good face mask and ‘Fashion Tape’ from Hollywood. This tape is good for preventing wardrobe malfunction.
So that’s it for my haul! I can’t wait to use and try some of the new items I got. Definitely let me know what your favorite beauty products are from CVS.
