My family and I are heading to Oahu next week and I couldn’t be more excited!
This will be our 5th time visiting the Island so I wanted to share some items we always pack for our trip.
We used to always rent a set of snorkel gear at the beach but we thought it was about time to buy our own. They’re not that expensive– in fact renting them day to day costs more. Plus, I like knowing i’m the only one putting my mouth on the mouth piece.
Rylie doesn’t know how to swim yet so she definitely needs help in the ocean. We love this floatie. It’s perfect for little beginners just learning to swim.
We stopped traveling with our stroller after Rylie started walking– strollers aren’t very convenient in Hawaii anyway. We found that this hiking carrier is a lot easier for us to transfer Rylie around when we’re shopping in Waikiki or getting from the car to the beach.
Though the weather in Hawaii is perfect and always beautiful, I find that sometimes I need my own personal wind during the hotter months. What I love most about this fan is that it charges by USB.
This is an absolute must! I get really paranoid about leaving my wallet and phone on the beach when we’re all playing in the water so my husband and I have these to store our phone, cash and cards. They are 100% waterproof. We just put them around our neck and don’t even worry about them when we’re in the water.
So this is more for myself to enjoy. This floatie also comes in pink. Don’t worry about blowing them up. You can take them to any ABC store and they will inflate it for you for $1
This is something new for us. After years of packing all of our plastic bags to store our wet bathing suits after beach time, I decided to get a waterproof bag to reuse since plastic bags aren’t free anymore.
I’m a light sleeper and hotels have thin walls. This sound machine is a must for me. I always take this with me everywhere I go. I’ve had it for years and it does an excellent job of drowning out noise.
My daughter wakes up around 6am.. My husband and I like to sleep in til 7. SO…. We always pack these muffins for her to eat in the morning by herself while she plays on her iPad– this allows us to sleep in a little longer.
I also bring these peanut butter crackers to keep in my bag in case of emergencies. I can’t tell you how many times we have left the beach starving. These crackers are the perfect snacks for us to have in the car while on the way to the restaurant.
