Healthy Choices For The New Year with Old Navy

I don’t really think about making healthy choices.  It’s a natural instinct to just go for whatever I prefer that tastes good which is normally really fatty or full of sugar.
Today I just wanted to share 3 things I plan on doing this year.
I hope you’ll keep me accountable in me trying to live a healthier life.

Cut Out Soda

Before my daughter I was very diligent about drinking water only.  I never drank soda nor did I have a craving for it.  Now all I want is soda– it’s a really bad habit that I want to break.  15 days in and I’m doing well!  Haven’t had a sip of soda and I’m happy about it!

Walk It Out

Recently a shopping center opened up near by.  This is a great opportunity for me to walk and run errands at the same time.  I just need one of those rolling carts now b/c I don’t think I can carry all of my groceries back home!

More Veggies

I LOVE veggies but you know what I love even more? Bread, noodles and rice… This year I want to increase my veggies & proteins and decrease my carbs.   This goal is the one i’m less likely to succeed in.  I don’t know if I can do this– but i’m going to give it a shot.

I hear that having cute work out clothes also help keep your choices in check.  Everything I’m wearing above is from Old Navy and I’m just going to tell you right now– I wanted to buy the entire athletic section of my ON store b/c everything was so cute!   I also linked a few of my favorite items below.  Make sure to check them out and pick out something cute for the gym =)

    I will you on this journey of eating more veggies and walk, I don’t include soda because I don’t drink soda. The key to being successful in this is to keep ourselves accountable.

    I had no idea how cute Old Navy’s workout gear is! I am obsessed with the fun multi-colored leggings. I have way too many black pants and could seriously use for a color splash like those.

    Oh my I could not believe how much I craved soda when I was pregnent. Was it the instant carbs . . . or just the knowledge that it wasn’t good for me? I have no idea, but it never tasted so good as when I was pregnant! Trying to cut that out here, too!
