A Few Of My Favorite Things
I’m not the best when it comes to mental health but lately I’ve been feeling stressed and overwhelmed by feeling “caged” during this time so I wanted to share a few ways I try to take care of myself as well as a few purchases that have made me smile.
Laugh with Loved Ones.
Distance learning just started and I’m already feeling very overwhelmed. I have to constantly remind myself to not take everything so seriously and to let things go. My girls are a great example of loving life and having fun.
Feed the Belly!
Recently went to @morninglavenderoc to get this beautiful afternoon tea box.
Comfy pillows, a fuzzy throw and lots of greenery in my space always provides a warm feeling.
Ask for help!
I recently taught Rylie how to make pbj and boy was she excited to learn! It’s a small but helpful step!
We also got this learning tower for Ruby and I’m obsessed! She loves being able to see over the island and I love that she can be independent while being safe. The tower has a safety bar in the back to protect her from falling backwards.
Start Decorating for the season!
Ok, you might think i’m crazy for already getting into the fall/halloween spirit but I just can’t help myself. I love decorating my home and fall and winter just happens to be my favorite time of year. It makes me happy to see pink pumpkins and smell fall candles. I’ll be putting up halloween decorations in the girls playroom this week so if you wanna see the results, make sure you’re following my instagram.
After a long search I finally ended up with this pillow. I love the way it looks and because it’s neutral, i’ll be keeping it around for a long while!
I’ve been using my silk pillowcases for about a year now and I’m in love! To be honest, it took a little time for me to get used to but I don’t think I can go back to regular pillowcases anymore! I first bought the really expensive slip brand but discovered this leopard print ones that are an exact dupe without hurting your wallet! Comes in solid colors as well if you’re not a fan of the print.
For years, I wore my Ugg House Slippers– I couldn’t find anything comparable until I saw these. They are a great dupe for the Uggs and way cheaper!
I recently purchased this sign to go above our headboard and I just love it so much. It’s very simple with a little twist of modern and farmhouse style.
This is an investment piece and I don’t expect everyone to love it but if you can afford it, I definitely recommend it. I purchased this from the Nordstrom sale last year and it’s one of my favorite purchases. It really is such a soft and cozy blanket– even Rylie LOVES using this thing!
Is it weird that skincare makes me happy? I feel like i’m taking care of myself when using good and quality products. Osea is a Clean skincare brand that I recently discovered and so far, I’m loving the results.
Let’s face it, i’m not getting any younger haha. This helps me to smooth out my skin. I massage my face every night while applying my serum and lotion.
