Serena & Lily Products I’m Loving
I’ll start by saying, I know I am far from having the perfect house. A lot of spaces still feel empty and I have an ongoing list of things I wish I could change and fix (ahem, built-in shelves from previous owner that I finally got Husband to take down for me this week), but I’m definitely thankful for our home and the little ways I can fill it with loving touches and make it a place of rest and comfort for my family.
Today I wanted to share a few of my favorite items I’ve collected from Serena & Lily over the last couple years. If you’ve been with me you may have seen these items before and also might remember the comfy pajamas I got from there that I raved about in previous posts. Since then, I’ve been using different home decor items from their catalog and I gotta say I love all of their pieces so much — from their functionality to quality of materials, and of course how cute they look!
Starting in our bathroom, love the addition of this Serena & Lily handwoven canister to help me keep my bath essentials organized. If you’re like me and love trying out new bath and beauty products all the time, it’s definitely a must to have different containers to keep everything organized on your counters. And even though it’s a smaller item, it really gives much more in style points wherever I put it.
I’ve also been using this beautiful step stool next to our bathtub. The girls like to use it to get in and out of the tub and since the teak is water-resistant, I don’t have to worry so much about the extra splashing around that I know is about to go down. It also works as a great place to set other accessories, like my phone, ipad, or books I’m planning to browse through when I take a bath.
We also got this Healdsburg bath rug from Serena & Lily that I love. I’m pretty picky with my rugs, big and small, but this one totally checked all the boxes. It is super absorbent so function-wise it’s a winner, plus I was really into the neutral color and the woven texture and little tassel design. We have it in this white but it also comes in 7 other colors and 2 sizes which was nice to have as options. The care is easy too where I can throw it in the washer for a gentle wash then tumble dry on low.
Going back to books, Serena & Lily has this one titled “Escape” from photographer Gray Malik that I was so excited to add to my bath side/coffee table collection. It’s so relaxing looking through the gorgeous pages and it totally takes me back to our happy place, Hawaii, and gets me inspired for all the getaways I want to plan for the future.
Moving into our kitchen, we loved the bathroom step stool so much, we got a second one for my little sous chefs to use when they’re “helping” me in the kitchen. It’s a perfect height for Rylie to stand on, but of course even Ruby will get herself up there and try her best to get in the mix.
I also love how it goes with Serena & Lily’s dip-dyed stools I’ve been using as stands throughout the house. The handcrafted wood on these is such good quality, I can totally notice the difference compared to similar-looking ones I’ve seen at other stores. These are perfect for my plants and decor and they give just enough surface space to keep things cute, not cluttered. SO important.
I could probably browse through the Serena & Lily catalog and find so many more things to add, I’m obsessed with their stuff! It’s all so good and fit my style profile so well. But these are just a few of the details around my house I wanted to highlight for you today.
Like I’ve said in other posts, sometimes it doesn’t take a whole lot to elevate or organize a space. I’ve shown you how adding just one good accent piece can surprisingly change the look of a corner or even whole room. Or sometimes finding that item that just fits a nagging need, even a small one, so perfectly well, can make me feel so happy for days. It’s been fun because I feel like I’m constantly learning to edit and style our home to find what makes sense for us as a family and our budget and needs.
What are some decorating tips or must-have items you’ve picked up for your home? And most importantly, what are some tricks for getting Husband to start on some more of these bigger projects on our to-do list??? Please share with me in the comments! I love hearing your suggestions and stories.
