Ok so for the past year I’ve been trying to lose my pregnancy weight but to be honest, it’s been a little difficult to do. Being a busy mom of an active toddler I definitely find it a lot harder to prepare and eat healthy meals…I’m not going to even lie, fast food and instant noodles have been my best friend this past year! >_< my poor hubby also gained weight.
It’s the end of the year, the most dangerous time to indulge a little too junk for my body. I thought it would be the perfect time for me to take a step back and reset my mind to get my groove back. The first thing I wanted to do was cleanse my body of all of the nasty toxins so I immediately turned to Juice Cleansing.
Juice cleansing is good because not only does it help empty out all of the junk in our system but it also helps you to curve your appetite and reset your healthy eating habits. It’s the perfect way to kick start a new diet!
Because they are 100% organic and 100% recyclable. Not very many companies can claim that they are 100% organic. Not only that but Ritual Wellness is local for me so I can trust that they source all of their fruits and veggies from farmers who are right in this area. I did the Ritual Wellness one day ‘Seasonal Reset Juice Cleanse‘ which consisted of 6 delicious juices bottles. That’s up to 20lbs of USDA organic fruits and vegetables!
Ritual Wellness has great delivery service! When I woke up the morning my order was suppose to come, I eagerly ran to my front door to find my environment friendly bag along with my 6 juice bottles and ice packs inside.
Surprisingly, it was so easy to get through the day without food because the juices kept me full. I was shocked that I wasn’t reaching for food or more so, junk food! I did have to use the restroom a lot more than usual which is understandable but other than that, I didn’t have a problem with hunger.
To each their own. Though most of the flavors were delicious to me, there was 1 that I didn’t very much care for but it was ok enough for me to finish.
I didn’t lose any weight after 1 day of cleansing but I could tell my skin was brighter and glowing. I think perhaps if I had the stamina to juice cleanse for more than 1 day I would be able to see a different in weight.
So readers, Have you tried juice cleansing?? If so, what are your thoughts and if not, would you be interested in trying? Let me know in the comments!
*Ritual Wellness 1day Juice Cleanse was sent by a PR company for my consideration. Everything expressed in this post is my complete opinion and experience.
Like many bloggers, I receive a good amount of e-mail. Whether it is from a reader/subscriber, another blogger, or a company wanting to collaborate. Whatever my response is to their email, I make it a point to reply to each one because I want to be considerate and professional.
Readers/Subscribers: It is so important for me to have a good relationship and open communication with my readers. I value the opinions of simplyxclassic readers the most, more than any PR agency or Company. I’ll be honest and say that I don’t get too many e-mails from subscribers but when I do, these e-mails are the FIRST ones I respond to. They are my priority.
PR Agencies and Companies: There are been 2 times where I received an e-mail requesting a collaboration with my blog… when I replied to their email to agree to collaborate, I didn’t hear back from them…ever. This irks me because, THEY contacted ME first! Ignoring my e-mail, which was a response to their initial email tells me that they really don’t care and I refuse to work with people who lack courtesy or respect. To me, ignoring my email after contacting me first completely misrepresents their own brand/company.
Other bloggers: I love collaborating with other bloggers. It’s such a great way to build a friendship with that blogger and gain exposure. I get very excited when other bloggers e-mail me for either a collaboration or questions or even just wanting to catch up. There is a blogger I very much respect. She is a HUGE name… Very popular and well known and very successful in the blogging world. I, a nobody in this blog world invited her to a fashion show and I honestly didn’t expect a reply back. Needless to say, I was extremely stunned and humbled when she did reply thanking me and kindly declining the invitation. I can’t even imagine what her inbox is like, but I was surprised that she took the time to write back. Her taking the time to write a rejection response made me respect her even more because we all know how easy it is to ignore e-mails that don’t interest us.
Speaking of which, I have also been on the side of having my e-mail ignored by bloggers. I’ll be the first to say that the feeling is not very pleasant, especially if you have collaborated with them in the past or have become social media friends. I’m positive that their intention wasn’t to be rude but most likely because the content of the email didn’t interest them and they didn’t want to hurt my feelings… Everyone is different, but I believe that you can even be gracious and respectful in declining something that doesn’t interest you without making things awkward.
Hope you had a wonderful week! It’s almost Friday!! Thank you so much for reading my first post to a new series I’m adding to simplyxclassic. I hope you enjoyed it. I would LOVE to read your responses to my thoughts on dealing with emails in the blogging world.

Have I shared with you my deep love for coats? I have never counted how many coats I actually own, but I definitely could fill up an entire closet with just coats… I don’t know what it is about the fall season but I always seem to gravitate to black and white clothing. If you follow me on Instagram where I post my daily outfits, you may have noticed. On this day I decided to add a little color to my dress. I absolutely love this pink color because it’s not obnoxiously bright but it’s the perfect wearable pop of color.
