you are enough.

you are enough.

you are enough

Dear Friends,

We are now in October and I just wanted to remind you that

you are enough.

You don’t need to decorate your home with halloween, thanksgiving and christmas decor.  Your home does not need to look like it belongs on HGTV.

Store bought pie and cookies are completely fine.  Don’t stress, put the whisk and flour away.

No, you don’t need to buy all those items that blogger (me included) / influencer / creator recommended.

Social media can make us believe that we need something when we really don’t.  It can make us discontent with what we have and don’t have.

It can make us play the comparing game and want what others have.

It can make us feel like we’re not doing enough or that we’re less than / not good enough.

The next few months, your feed is going to be filled with excessive consumerism.

My friends, don’t feel like you need to keep up with the internet joneses.

Your kids are happy when you are happy. You family is happy when they have all of you.
(our Fall Bucket List Here)

I speak from experience and I’m speaking to myself as well.

You are enough. I am enough.

Halloween Crafts – Kid Friendly Ghost Figures

Halloween Crafts – Ghost Figures

Halloween Crafts - Kid Friendly Ghost Figures

Halloween Crafts are quickly becoming a favorite thing!  Rylie made these cute ghost figures the other day and I thought I would share them with you b/c they are super easy, kid-friendly and you probably already have the supplies at home.

See my last diy craft here.

SUPPLIES:

Use what you have at home– the beauty of this craft is that you can mix up the materials.  You don’t need to spend money to create something beautiful and trust me when I say, kids don’t care if something is pinterest worthy.

head options: foil, wood bead, pompom or the classic lollipop..
stick options: skewers, cake pop sticks, wood pencil…
body option: tissue paper, kleenex tissues, gauze…
tie options: rubber band, pipe cleaner, ribbon, yarn, string…
marker for face

I loved using foil– it was really easy to shape into a ball.  We poked the skewer into the foil ball making it sturdy.
